I think Fox underestimates how much people actually hate Tom Brady. And listening to his press conferences and interviews is excruciating because he has a soft spoken, lazy way of talking that doesn't seem like it would be compatible with calling a game. I don't know exactly how to explain his speaking style, but lazy seems close.

I've been surprised since he signed the Fox deal that it was to be an in-game commentator. I suppose the money is better, but a studio job is so much easier, and requires no travel assuming he has a house in LA. [Reply]
