Oh sure but consider were we where just 6 days ago. We have gone from 137,000 tests to over 400,000...

Sure some of that is backlog, but that's close to 40,000 tests done a day. And I would assume is going to further increase.

The US is keeping its ~10k infections and ~130 deaths per day rhythm... 4th day in a row with these sort of numbers.

They’ll quickly pass China’s infection numbers at this rate, and the death numbers should also get there soon enough.

Isn't it supposed to be increasing exponentially?

China's reported numbers?

Because what they've reported doesn't matter.

While true, that seems like a good sign to me. At this point, holding steady is highly preferable over continued acceleration.

Testing rates for comparison:

Iceland: one in 33 people

South Korea: about 1 in 170 people (March 23 data)

Australia: about 1 in 200 (March 20 data)

United States: less than 1 in 1,000

Yeah, but they are totally useful when it comes to making the USA look worse

It seems encouraging and let's hope it continues, seeing a potential finish line would help moral a shit ton.

Yeah I've seen that. Unfortunately the last time they updated the negative count was March 16th.

Thank you though.
