Nzoner's Game Room>Bills-Ravens: win-win, lose-lose
CupidStunt 06:48 AM 01-13-2025
Someone's gotta win. But someone's gotta lose too. Which fanbase better deserves the early exit?

Which QB needs it more? Lamar is 3-4 in the playoffs. Allen is 1-4 in non-wildcard games.

Which team would you rather beat in the AFCCG? Is that the same thing as the team you think we match up better against?

If the ravens wins a Super Bowl you can guarantee there will be Lamar is better than Mahomes talk.

Plus, as a once long suffering Chiefs fan I can sympathize with Bills fans. Ravens fans on the other hand l act like they’ve won 10 super bowls. If not the Chiefs I wouldn’t mind the Bills winning it all. The ravens winning their 3rd would make an already snobbish fan base worse.

If you are concerned about best QB talk then you better be rooting for the Ravens. There are already national people that float the idea Allen is better than Mahomes. Bills fans believe it as fact right now. If Allen wins while beating Mahomes you will hear nothing but him being the best QB. You won’t get that with Lamar because no one really makes that argument now.

Haha. It’s just a personal thing. Makes myself feel better or less disappointed if we lose.

I'm kinda growing cozy to the idea of playing Buffalo again. The chance to do it again to them is so tantalizing. Would also mean we've beaten everyone the AFC has to throw at us this year en route to the threepeat.

And if they finally get over that hump... they'll have earned it. But I imagine we have a lot more up our sleeve for the home Arrowhead rematch, namely Brown, a stable LT situation, amongst other items.

All that said, I still fear Henry and Lamar are going to run all over them to the tune of 200+ and it's gonna be on Allen to be perfect in order to win. Patterns repeat in the NFL Playoffs (see last night w/ MIN), and the pattern is that the Buffalo defense cannot play at its peak when it is required.

I hope both teams exhaust all of their emotional capital in that game and their players are beat the f up. Beyond that, I really don’t have a strong preference as to whom we play. Either opponent is gonna be an extremely difficult challenge. If I had to choose, give me B-More one more time

"One more time"

That's a solid way to frame it too. With another heart crushing AFCCG defeat, we could be to Baltimore what we already are to Buffalo.

And then the loudmouth Lions fan I work with will (hopefully) finally stfu about week 1 last year, and the preseason game this year.
Couldn't agree more.

We already vanquished the Ravens TWICE in 2024. Crushed their soul at their place in the AFC Title Game and then pulled the rug out from under them in their 'revenge' game in Arrowhead to start the year. Nothing more needs to be proven against that team.

I wanna ruin the Bills season again, make them 0-4 against us in the playoffs, get 'revenge' for our loss earlier and shut down the 'Bills deserve a Super Bowl' bullshit. That shit is getting ANNOYING! No one DESERVES anything, you have to EARN IT on the field. :-) with that crap. :-)

And as far as the Lions go, I don't have nothing against them. Seem like an okay team with decent fans. But the annoying 'we beat you 21-20 last year' thing is tired, ignoring all the factors that caused that one point loss. Eveyone knew who the better team was that day and still is. And, yes, the media WILL absolutely bring up the fact that Goff is 2-0 against Mahomes. I would love for nothing more to hear them parrot that for 2 weeks while Mahomes prepares for the 3peat. He 100% hears all that shit!

Just take care of business first against Houston and this is absolutely the path I would like to see unfold.

Lol "we can't cover TE's" then mentions THE FIRST TWO GAMES of the season?? What about the other FIFTEEN? :-)

It can work both ways. When we beat the Bills in the 13 second game I think that took so much out of the guys physically and emotionally. To the point that they ran out of steam in that second half against the Bengals.

However when we beat them last year it gave the squad a massive injection of confidence. Just watching back the mic'd up from that game and seeing Pat absolutely buzzing as he ran off the field as Bills fans tried to pelt him with snowballs :-) . But the energy they got from that game took them into Baltimore with their chest puffed put and ready to go.

Whoever wins this game could go either way. But yes ideally you want it to be a massively physical game for sure that pushes both teams to their limits. And I think it will be. Buffalo have had some shootouts recently so it will be interesting to see how the Ravens would react if they go behind early.

Bills fans hit Mahomes with a snowball. Probably from a powdery snow held together with their thoughts of Joshy

Lamar Jackson is 0-5 in the playoffs against teams that score more than 14 points. That's not a knock on Lamar, it's about his coach. He only knows how to win playoff games one way: ball control offense. He's a modern day Marty Shottenheimer.

In order to reach the Super Bowl, the Ravens would have to go through probably the two worst teams in the league to run such a scheme against. If they are somehow able to beat the Bills, I will be glad they did.

Look at the last real game. pat freiermuth put up 60 yards. He averaged 14 against the Ravens. And when he wasn't playing a fraudulent bottom feeding franchise or a terrible defense like the Bengals he was getting handled by everybody else too. And that's because he's a mediocre TE. The Chiefs had a linebacker that could run 4.4 last year. They don't this year. And it's been a rocky adjustment. They're not getting ****ed up like they were earlier when Brock Bowers was gauging them for 170 yards or some shit but it's still not good. And I don't have the surplus in chromosomes so I won't LOL or type in all cap's like a clown or engage with those that do. So we're done here. But if I'm Veach I'm trading for or seeking out yet another LB in the offseason because they seem to be too slow at the position.

The Browns\Ravens were built in the image of Marty (Ozzie Newsome) so that does give me pause. If Allen has some transcendent game he could cover for their bad defense and sink the Ravens like Marino and the Chiefs. Lamar can't compete against an elite QB that's rolling.

We have our "easy" game this Saturday. At least for a divisional game. After that, we could possibly lose the next two to complete the 3Peat. Our boys will need their "A" game to win which I'm sure they will bring to the party.
