Chiefs prez Mark Donovan, when asked this AM about potential new stadium options, said the team has considered options in state of Kansas. They like Arrowhead and legacy of Lamar Hunt’s stadium, but have been pitched by Kansas developers on a bunch of options. Something to watch.
I’d rather just continue to update/improve Arrowhead. You can’t build them that steep anymore. I still like the rolling roof idea, but probably not necessary if the Royals are moving. [Reply]

I like Arrowhead, but a newer stadium wouldn't be terrible. I could care less if they build it where Kauffman is or move it to the Kansas side.
You are 100% correct. This is a threat to the taxpayers to either pony up for a new stadium or they'll move to Kansas. [Reply]
I was raised to believe that you don't stop using something until it can't be used any more. Right now I'm wearing a pair of socks with a hole in one heel, because I'm just sitting at home and no one's going to see the hole except me and my wife. So why would I want to get rid of a perfectly good stadium? Use it until a section collapses. [Reply]
Say what you want but it's not unreasonable at all for the Chiefs and Royals to demand things or ask for things. They have one of the older stadiums in the NFL and MLB. The lease is still going to be around for 10 years, so they are getting ready and taking offers. As they should. [Reply]
