In order to keep the lovely Farrah above the pedophile, and give her the proper time in the limelight she deserved before being upstaged, I vote that the Mods make this thread a Sticky.

After all.... Farrah made us all sticky as kids, it's only fair to return the favor. :-)

Good work, people. Good work.

In 1969 and 1970, Farrah appeared in two episodes of "The Flying Nun". (I thought that was an earlier series, mid-60s. Farrah has taught me something.)

In 1969:

When Marcello describes the sisters to others as "guys", they think that he needs a fatherly male influence in his life. When questioned, Marcello chooses Carlos. Sister Bertrille in turn talks Carlos into being Marcello's surrogate father on occasion. But Carlos' memory fades quickly when he chooses to spend the day with beautiful Lila rather than keep his appointment to go sailing with Marcello. But unbeknownst to Sister Bertrille, Carlos does takes Marcello out on the boat as primary crew, while Carlos spends most of the time pampering Lila below deck. Despite Marcello having a good time and hoping Carlos will adopt him, Sister Bertrille fires Carlos as surrogate father. When Marcello finds out that Carlos needs to be married to adopt him, he takes matters into his own hands and places a newspaper ad looking for a wife for Carlos and a mother for himself. Despite having no money for an ad, the newspaper man decides it would be a good human interest story and places it on the front page. Droves of women descend on the casino and Carlos has to make a quick escape, Marcello in tow. Carlos and Marcello clear the air with each other and define the nature of their relationship.

Farrah played Lila, the love interest. I'm sure it wasn't her intent to destroy the father-son thing.

Carlos donates a pool table to the convent. Sister Bertrille thinks it would be a good pastime for convent orphan Armando to partake as his current diversions are wild flights of fancy. Initially reluctant to learn, Armando takes to the game once he witnesses the amazing abilities of Emilio Gomez, who ends up being his teacher. Armando's a natural, however this new diversion, as was his old diversions, takes over his life to the expense of his school work. The Reverend Mother orders the pool table gone. Sister Bertrille figures that taking the pool table away will only make Armando more in love with the game, so she reckons what Armando needs is to be shown up. They find the best pool player in San Tanco to take on Armando, that being Carlos. Armando is confident he can beat Carlos and he does start off well, but after Armando scratches, Carlos cleans the table. To put more pressure on Armando, Sister Bertrille orders a rematch and feigns betting big money on Armando to the tune of $5,000. Armando, not wanting to disappoint the sisters, goes through with the game, but the unexpected arrival of the Reverend Mother is just what everyone needs: she stops the game and Armando breaks down in tears, not wanting to play pool anymore. In the words of the Reverend Mother, Sister Bertrille's motives were good, but her execution leaves a little to be desired.

Farrah played "Miss Preem" in this episode, but I'm not sure what she did. Sounds like she wasn't a nun.

Farrah was my girl, couldnt wait to watch Charlies Angels so I could see Jill. I too had the poster and I also had a T-shirt with the poster on it. I also had a life sized poster of her in a blue jump suit type thing with high heels on a 10 speed. Rubbed more than a few out.

R.I.P. Farrah

:-)

I think you should take a poll about which one more people care about.

Why is it a popularity contest?

Like everyone, they both had their 'demons'... some demons are worse than others. There's no question which of the two is the most popular and why one is getting more coverage than the other.

And, if it's worded "care about"... MJ loses big on here, I'm would be shocked if Farrah didn't win the "which person do you care most about" debate between those 2.

On this exact midwestern based forum sure, on a general forum...not so much.

I know exactly how people on this forum will react before they do because of where it's based.

I definitely think opinions will vary... you go with the under 35 crowd, there's likely more pro-MJ sentiment. It will also depend on the race aspect as well and don't think it won't.

All in all, it would be a pointless exercise...
