Have been banned from the other thread by an apparently sensitive snowflake (ironically after dozens of pages of political discussion from others) so I'll stick my thoughts on the NBA Playoffs here from now on. We needed a new thread anyway. [Reply]

That’s nothing new, of course, but their shittiness gets more glaring when you’re missing a top 5 player in the league. If AD doesn’t play game 6, the Lakers will lose the game and the series and there’s not a thing LeBron is going to be able to do about it.
So he gets all the credit when they win and none when they lose. Got it thanks for clearing that up. 👍 [Reply]
Danny Ainge is expected to step down as President of Basketball Operations for the Boston Celtics, sources tell ESPN. Brad Stevens is expected to assume a more prominent front office role with the team. https://t.co/8eR4AHcGv3
Stevens has been described as worn down with coaching since The Bubble, and welcomed the chance to make the transition to the front office, sources tell ESPN. Stevens will help lead the search for his successor as head coach.
It’s extremely rare for anyone to attain Jordan’s level of success. It takes unreal talent plus circumstance.
Warriors were the closest I’ve seen in the NBA but they broke up.
In the NFL you have unreal talent like Rodgers but shitty management holding him back.
Fortunately we have an all time talented QB with a HOF coach and elite level GM. Mahomes and Brady are the only players in American sports that are or potentially at Jordan’s level of success [Reply]

Brady is above Jordan now.
Brady did it in 2 separate franchises. He's on his own level. [Reply]

LeBron would have posted a 40 point triple double last night had he played the entire game and the Lakers would have lost by 30. Yeah, I'd say so. [Reply]
