It wasn't as unprecedented and draconian (ducks), but schools were closed and such. A national emergency was declared.

And, the numbers (R0 and CFR) for this bug far exceed H1N1, which was influenza, a bug variant that we see every year.

Schools may have been closed where you are but they weren’t closed in ks or anywhere else I can think of? I don’t believe people were sent home from work .

Everytime you post draconian or unprecedented, god kills a puppy.

And then that puppy gets served at a Wuhan wet market.

Please. Think of the puppies.

Yes, I have. In this thread. But I'll do it again:

This bug has a CFR somewhere in the 1 to 2 or 3% range. H1N1 was 0.01% The R0 of this bug is somewhere in the 2 to 3 range. H1N1 was 1.5.

I keep telling you but you don't listen. It's pretty clear at this point you don't want to. Some of you guys are just being stubborn for the fun of it.

Even if you take a conservative estimate based on the fact we don't know all the cases... the hospitalization and mortality rates are miles higher with this than 2009.
