Definitions of dog shit will vary.
Since the final 4 choke, they've made 2 regional finals and lost them both. They've had a first and second round exit and missed the tourney once (not counting Covid). Last regional final was 4 years ago.
I don't count years with good record or conference championships as good years. Not for a team with UKs resume. [Reply]

2015-2016 lost in the second round to IU because they didn't have a 5 to match against Bryant.
2016-2017 was arguably Cal's third best team since he's been at UK (2012 and 2015 are clearly better). That team lost to the champions on a late shot by Luke Maye. If you think that season was dogshit, then that's a you problem.
2017-2018 was not a good team and arguably reached their ceiling with the Sweet 16 regardless how the bracket played out.
2018-2019 lost in OT in the Elite 8.
2019-2020 COVID.
2020-2021 worst season in program history.
2021-2022 good regular season with a bad ending.
But no, the last 8 years haven't been dog shit. [Reply]

When you're a team that should contend for a natty every year, that's dogshit, in totality. All that on the heels of blowing a perfect season. [Reply]

I’d be so pissed.
Being 100% serious about it.

If you're going with the argument about titles, Kentucky has the second most titles and is the only program to win a title with 5 different coaches. The past 8 years have been underwhelming relative to expectations but to act as if the last 8 years have been total dogshit is misleading. [Reply]
