Our Keurig duo just broke. This is the second one we've had (first one broke while still under warranty). I would like to hear some suggestions. Anything that will last longer, better quality, etc.? Or is this just the nature of these kinds of appliances?
My wife got me a Cuisinart brew/k-cup combo coffee station for my office. Nice to be able to make a pot in the morning, or just one cup after lunch. [Reply]
I am amazed at all of the differing opinions on coffee and types of coffee makers in this thread. I did not expect that. Thanks, everyone for your input. I did look over every post but still ended up back here. We got the Ninja CFP101 DualBrew Hot & Iced Coffee Maker, Single-Serve, compatible with K-Cups & 12-Cup Drip Coffee Maker, Black. It arrived yesterday and I was able to use it this morning. I used the rich setting for my single cup. Seems to work well.

Me too. I have never heard of a poor over or press. The quick googling shows me pictures of "coffee makers" that appear from the 40's and such.

When your Ninja breaks in couple of years, Pick it up, raise it into the air, smack the bottom with a rubber mallet 3 times. It will start working again. [Reply]
This morning I made my first cup of coffee in my single cup Kuerig, just went to make a second cup and each time I close and push the correct cup size I want, it turns off.
Don't know if there is a reset but looks like I'm buying a new one.
I would look at the idea of "cold" brew. There are a number of items that will do it. The idea of hot stuff on the beans/grounds takes some of the flavor out v cold brew. [Reply]

A $15 pitcher with a cold brew basket will do it. Or if you don’t want to spend the money a mason jar and a cheesecloth will do it.
Just put 80g in a half gallon of water on the counter for 24 hours then filter the grinds off and put it in the fridge and enjoy your life changing experience. [Reply]

Serious.ly if it breaks in a couple of years, I will be looking for a different brand. Hopefully, using water from the fridge will help it last. Or perhaps I should start bringing home deionized water from work. :-) [Reply]
