I believe the Miami miracle would have been the game in 2018 when the Dolphins won on the last play which involved a few laterals. That victory gave us the 1 seed in 2018. The Ryan Fitzpatrick game was in 2019 that gave us the 2 seed and the bye week. [Reply]

Eh. Teams are free to sit players whenever they want to. NBA does it as a standard practice. If this thesis proves true, we may see something like that in the NFL going forward. I realize it's not an equal corollary though. [Reply]

It's not about getting rest, it's about being exempt from the protocol once you've been in it.
Any player that has been on the list for the Chiefs in the past couple of weeks is now exempt for 90 days, which means none of them will be subject to the protocol during the playoffs and won't miss any games because of it. [Reply]
