Sources: The #Seahawks and #Chiefs are deep in talks on a trade to send star Frank Clark to KC. The compensation would include a 1st rounder, a 2020 2nd rounder and a swap of mid-rounders. To complete it, the franchise tagged player and Chiefs must hammer out a deal.

I've already stated that I wasn't a fan of what we gave up for him. Not sure what you would like me to add to that.
But claiming that the Patriots do this...or the Patriots do that....is a bullshit argument. Other teams try to copy their blueprint and no one pulls it off. No one has Bill and no one has a QB willing to take way less than they should be making. It's not going to happen. [Reply]

It's not going to get pretty and one of the big names is going to be the odd man out. An accelerated cap is not going to account for a 30-40m cap difference.
The way I see it we just traded a generational talent in Hill + picks for Clark.

And you're seriously going to sit here and tell me that FA activity just drops from the face of the earth after the draft? Come on man.
But you know what? I'm done talking about this. I hope we got a great player and I hope we can pick up at least one prospect who can out kick his own coverage. Maybe we should just trade all of our 4th, 5th, 6th shit too. Apparently those picks don't count either.
You're probably going to have to move more than a two if you want an elite prospect.
And yeah, the talent pool drops off the face of the earth.
It's easy to say, "Find a corner after the draft", but who is this magical corner that's available?
Gonna wait around for another team to cut their trash, like Scandrick?
Again, back to my analogy. You don't build a high performance sports car with 2nd hand parts. That's how you build a piece of shit.
Quit trying to fucking build a 2nd hand defense, you cheap fucks. [Reply]

Glad we've invested a 1st and three 2nds for maybe one good DE
KPass sucks but Dorsey is so amazing?
Oh wait....look at who's posting. You're a fucking moron. [Reply]
Seattle Seahawks send: DE Frank Clark, 84th overall pick
Kansas City Chiefs send: 29th and 92nd picks, lesser of 2020 second-round picks
Seahawks grade: B
Chiefs grade: D+
That's the same dipshit who didn't like our Mahomes trade. Here's his analysis on the Mahomes pick:
"The downsides, however, may frustrate some KC fans. Barnwell criticizes the Chiefs for trading a 2018 first-round pick and 2017 third-rounder for quarterback Patrick Mahomes. He doesn’t necessarily hate the Mahomes pick but instead believes the Chiefs may have paid to much for him." [Reply]

So, the Chiefs net draft value is -540, which means the Chiefs traded:
Dee Ford
#36 pick in the draft
For
Frank Clark + his extension.
And this is at a team when NFL teams are valuing DBs more than edge rushers precisely because the edge rushers are only on the field 60-65% of the time. Had they made this trade for Jalen Ramsey, it makes a hell of a lot more sense. In the modern league, smart teams are running out a shitload of decent-but-not-great pass rushers and letting other teams pay out the ass for them. Look at what the Patriots do with their rushers and look who they pay.
Philly just won a SB with a great pass rush and cheap corners [Reply]
I'm gonna be honest though. Looking back at the history of #29 picks...it isn't great.

Man, the overreaction in this thread is incredible. I understand being wary of the price but at the very least you should acknowledge that Clark is a game wrecker, more so than Ford or Houston.
Seeing shit like “we basically traded Hill+ for Clark” makes me want to die
No one’s gonna give two shits about these picks when we bring home the Lamar Hunt trophy and hopefully the SB. [Reply]
