Chiefs WR Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, who suffered a dislocation of his sternoclavicular shoulder joint Saturday night, was discharged from a Jacksonville-area hospital this morning and now has been cleared to return to Kansas City.
#Chiefs WR Marquise “Hollywood” Brown is expected to miss four to six weeks with the sternoclavicular injury he suffered, per multiple sources. Opening night is three weeks from this Thursday night.
Sources: The #Chiefs are placing WR Marquise "Hollywood" Brown on IR, and he will undergo surgery to repair his dislocated SC joint. After multiple imaging studies, it was determined that, although Hollywood felt better, his injury was not healing correctly. Without corrective… pic.twitter.com/xtRRMvmseq
Andy Reid said Hollywood Brown is “ahead of schedule” and attacking his rehab, but he wouldn’t commit to a certainty of seeing him this season. Called him “a relentless worker.”
DeAndre Hopkins has 11 regular season games to get up to get fully comfortable within the #chiefs offense and with Patrick Mahomes. By the time the postseason arrives, I'm told there is a real chance Hollywood Brown could return. Which would make KC's it's most complete at the…

Nick Jacobs explained that Brown will be back to take reps off Watson's plate.
He sees it as:
Brown and Watson = same position
Hopkins and JuJu = same position, rotate to keep each other fresh
Worthy and Hardman = same position
That would be a nice little group to get by with. Just need to hope that it's Hop, Worthy, and Brown getting 65+% of snaps in the playoffs. A legitimately fast group that can beat all types of coverage esp with a nice run game and the tight ends complementing them.
This offense is going to be as good as anybody by the time it matters. [Reply]

It’s gonna be interesting to see how they use him.
On one hand, you need his talent out there to take pressure off the OL and pretty much upgrades everyone else on offense, including MVPat.
On the other hand, shoulder injuries can be tricky and finicky…so I can see them wanting to severely limit him to prevent a huge setback…which would be devastating to our chances at the three peat.
Also, I’m so excited to see this offense in the postseason. It has the potential to be really special. [Reply]

More chest injury than shoulder. Shout be a mobility issue. [Reply]

They aren't bringing a guy one a one year deal back at this point of the season just to be cautious with him for his long term health. Also, you don't think Hollywood wants to go make some money? [Reply]

Who said anything about long term health? Andy has always been cautious when players return from injury. I’ll be a little surprised if Hollywood plays in a game before Christmas and doesn’t play against Denver in the finale.
Cleveland
Pittsburgh
Houston
Denver
You think he suits up against Pittsburgh? I don’t think so, but that would be great. [Reply]
