I wonder if that is a fall back plan for Veach if he can’t get Williams or Reiff? I don’t see us trading for a guy like Dillard from Philly
I guarantee you Veach has a more solid plan than that. [Reply]

Probably a truckload of cash.
I'm totally ok with that.
There is not a chance in hell, not one bit that Veach's plane is to fills the OL with draft picks and bargain FA's no one else wants. He's got a plan he's pretty certain will be put in place or he doesn't make all these moves. [Reply]
With next year's cap expected to go way up Veach is moving to get in now in a BUYERS market.
Clear cap space and just load up.
Get all kinds of comp picks for 1 year vet ring chasers that leave.
Plus who wants to be buying FA's next year when teams will be spending stupid amounts of money?
Veach is way ahead of this.
Plus..revenge. You know these guys will move mountains to knock out anyone in our way when they feel our championship was stolen through bad luck. [Reply]

In Veach I trust. The way I see it, there was no way Fisher was going to be even 90% ready at the start of the season. We proably wouldn't have seen him until mid to late Oct. at best. We would have had to overpay for a JAG placeholder AND pay Fisher. [Reply]

The Chiefs also want to sign star safety Tyrann Mathieu, a first-team All-Pro the past two seasons, to a multiyear extension, which would prevent him from reaching free agency following the upcoming season. Such moves would create more than $30 million in cap space, according to Over the Cap’s calculator.
