This team is just plain awful. The only consistently good play on offense comes from Bowe and Charles. Daboll is, I'm sure a great person, but an awful offensive coordinator. While I understand that trying to lead this team is "like trying to drive a car with 4 flat tires"... it is incomprehensible to me how he can misuse the little talent that he does have. Romeo was the right man for the job regarding Belcher. He is still not the guy to coach this team into playoff contention and a Super Bowl.

*****. I hope the rumors of the Titans being interested are true. I hope you did get your walking papers on your recent trip to Dallas. I cannot wait for you to be gone from Kansas City. You took an ailing team and smothered it Cassel, ineffective FA, and bad picks in the draft. Statistically... you are the worst thing to ever happen to Kansas City Chiefs football. I will be thrilled when your termination is announced.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is still an unresolved issue with the donation from sports nutz and both parties are working to resolve it as quickly as possible. Because I cannot afford to pay for a 2 hour flight by myself... we are only planning on flying a single banner. Effectively, we only have $960ish in the bank until the matter is resolved.

If the funds come available in time for the banner to fly, we will fly a second banner as well.

I have a major concern with his age (I'm probably older than he is) ... but, IIRC he has built SB teams in Buffalo & Indy & in the Canadian Football League, where he assembled Grey Cup winning teams with the Montreal Alouettes and Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

I kinda like the guy at SF.

I think it's important that we get a HC and people around him that are known for coaching QBs. And we better draft a QB #1 overall.

Did you read Marty's post?

It makes no sense to fire him now when there's only 2 weeks left. Seriously, BE PATIENT.

Thanks for the good info Marty and TBG. I am just really skeptical and I really don't trust Clark all that much.

And if his first choice is Cowher than he is just making the same mistake again unfortunately for us.

He can announce that Pioli will be stepping down at the end of the season though. Like he did with Carl. It would create quite a buzz in Chiefs nation for the final home game.

How so? Cowher and Pioli would not seem to be close to being the same.

Exactly. If what was posted is true, the dude basically has no power anymore....

Once again, other than placating a bunch of impatient fans, what USEFUL purpose does it serve?

He doesn't want to screw up next year by getting all the players excited about change - it's the same craziness that led to Romeo Crennel being hired as head coach.

There's NO REASON to make changes now. NONE, NADA, ZILCH

Don't want that or the players might feed off the energy, seriousally go read Marty's post - it all makes perfect sense.

Which means the ONLY thing that hasn't been done is TELL THE FANS he's been fired.

Are we really THAT self-important?

Going after the "big name"..

I have major concerns about Cowher and his desire to coach and if he is willing to put in the hours and the effort again. We all know the stat about coaches that won a SB going to a different team, it never works out.

Heck Cowher said a few times this season on the CBS show that Cassel was a good QB and should be the starter. No thanks

Didn't make any difference the year Carl was let go. This team has given up. Announcing Pioli is leaving won't make them suddenly care.

Ah, I see. Until Fisher went to the Rams and instantly made them better I was against Cowher.

The Rams have shit for talent and have been playing very well compared to last season.

Cowher instantly makes the Chiefs better. How much better? I dunno.

There is no one to rally them to care this season.
