Unfortunately, I could see the Stars winning in 5 games, +/- 1, but would love to see the Oilers take the next step this year and prove that wrong.
I think Rangers/Panthers will be much closer and has much more potential for a 7 game series.
The difference with the Dallas/Edmonton is goaltending. Unless one of the Oilers goalies takes over and plays lights out I think this one goes 6 max maybe 5. I agree on the NY/Florida series possibly going 7. Then again it could be the opposite. Just drop the puck and see what happens [Reply]

Not like I've watched a ton of any hockey this season, but from what I've seen during the playoffs, DAL is just playing very smart hockey on both ends and they simply don't turn the puck over in their end. EDM can be sloppy, including turning the puck over in their zone, and I just don't think EDM can do that against DAL and hope to win a series, no matter how talented they are up front.
My gut says EDM could/maybe/luckily win two games, because they are very talented, and McDavid is just ridiculously talented and fast. But DAL is just the overall better team. [Reply]

Agreed. Edmonton has the two best players on the ice in McDavid and Draisaitl, but Dallas has the better overall roster. I do think that for Edmonton to win those two will have to take over games and put the team on their backs. [Reply]
Florida doing a good job of constantly being in the Rangers' collective faces.
They are forcing NY to look and play sloppy out there.
Granted, that aggressive style has led to two very good scoring chances the other way for NY, but thus far, either the post or Bobrovsky himself has seen to it the Rangers got nothing.
If the Panthers are to win this, this is exactly how they must play....aggressive, physical, and keeping the NY players mostly in their own end. [Reply]
If the Rangers can score it will be huge for their confidence considering how this game has gone so far. If the Panthers score again I don't see the Bob giving up 2 with the way his defense is currently playing. [Reply]
