Your defense doesn’t improve by playing trash QBs all year. We see this in every sport. You can’t avoid the good teams and elite players forever.

Being statistically middle of the pack defensively against those QBs is a really bad sign for the Bengals.

Just go with 'hot fires make strong steel' and you're in better shape from a factual standpoint. Though I still question the premise of the entire concept. The Patriots won SBs for years by beating on rummy schedules to get bye weeks then rest and get healthy.

You take two pieces of sharpened iron and use them to sharpen each other and you're just gonna end up with two pieces of rolled iron. Sometimes all two good teams playing each other does is beat those two teams up.
