Yup. The possibility was there for someone to claim him though. Not sure about the back channel goings on though with his agent and teams that might want to do that. Seems a bit sketchy that no one put in a claim...
I also don't know how the contract thing works. Is the claiming team responsible for the approx 2.5M but if he becomes a FA, they start from scratch? At that point it just becomes a bidding war and he choses who he wants and they potentially pay more than they would have if they had just claimed him.

I honestly cannot believe nobody put in a waiver claim for him. I kind of expected Indy to do it since they remain in contention for a playoff spot and don't have a TE worth a shit. [Reply]
