It would pretty much have to be Destoroyah, right? They've already set that plot into motion, unless they want to save him for the ultimate big bad if multiple sequels are planned. [Reply]
I was very excited because I thought the local drive-in was playing this and Nobody as a double feature. The very first movie I ever saw at a drive-in was King Kong Lives (1986). Turns out that they are going to be on different screens which screws up my plan.
Random pic of Jessica Lange running down stairs in King Kong 1976:
Thought it was pretty good. Plot was a complete turd. But this is a monster movie. The monster fights were really well done. The Tokyo fight in particular really nailed that old school monster movie feel where Tokyo would be completely leveled in each film. Pretty much all the human acting was forgettable. It's OK that the monsters stole the show. [Reply]
Doesn't matter much, but it was actually Hong Kong.
I suppose they figured they had the Japanese market in the bag with Godzilla and Americans with Kong, so they tried to draw in the Chinese box office? [Reply]
I thought it was 15 minutes of awesome fights and 2 hours of absolute shit. I turned it off and walked away less than an hour in not sure if I'd come back to it. I did, but it was work getting through the non-fight scenes. I'd recommend waiting for the action only cut on youtube. [Reply]
Loved it! Of course the acting sucked. It would be weird if it didn’t. Plenty of action, solid ending. What more could you ask for in this type of film? [Reply]

This is the correct take. The Stranger Things girl and her two sidekicks, the black incel and the bloated teenage eunuch, were insufferable. [Reply]
