When you're so bad at run defense you make it a legitimately good choice to run the ball at you consistently, that's pretty impressive(ly bad). https://t.co/hFnQIuLKqe
So I heard Reid said they were going back to the drawing board on Defense. What kind of adjustments do you expect to see and how can we be successful?
We aren't facing one of the best rushing offenses this week that should help but wonder what they will do because it's so bad they can't just ignore it.
I love Mathieu destroying some of these troglodytes on twitter. Should be a cold cup of water in the face to some of them that they don't know shit. [Reply]

Deal is, they can't go back and undo some of the decisions they made during the offseason. They can't go back and sign some of the pass rushers that came in for a visit, and they can'tkeep some of the players that they let go. So, they have to go back with what they have. And that's going to be a problem. Some of what they figured, had to do with Chris Jones playing Defensive End, and in my opinion I would much rather have my All Pro Defensive Tackle stay put in place where he is in All Pro. [Reply]

This is ultimately the correct answer. We have given up rush yards to many teams and it hasn’t made much difference for years. We didn’t lose either Mahomes playoff game because the other team ran the ball. The Ravens also didn’t just become a running team and it took them four tries to beat Mahomes.
We lost this game because of a bad end of game play and a 1st and 25 for the Ravens two straight PASSES later being a big TD. [Reply]
So after licking my wounds i got back to watching some of this Balt/Chiefs game.
I came away realizing that Hitchens and Bolton have been getting a pass on this poor run defense. We've been laying everything at the feet of the Dline, and we're wrong about that. Dead fucking wrong. Sure, there were containment issues here and there, but they were exacerbated by some really poor play recognition on behalf of Bolton/Hitchens.
I honestly think it may have been Hitchens' worst game as a Chiefs.
If you go back and review most of Balt's big plays, our LB's completely bit hard on play fakes and RPO's and left lanes wide the fuck open.
We should be putting heat on those two dudes and easing up on the Dline. [Reply]

The Dline isn't getting blown off the ball. I don't see that at all.
But good god, watch Hitchens on every snap.
This is exactly wtf i was talking about. He guessed wrong ALLLLL night. Bolton too.
Bolton and Hitchens got worked. We been talking Dline all week....that's wrong boys. Look at our LB's. They're out of position almost every goddamn play. Baltimore was running right at the holes they vacated.
They threw at them too.
That slant that Hollywood Brown took deep into Chiefs territory was Bolton biting hard on the PA and leaving his zone wide the fuck open for the easy slant and go. [Reply]
