Let just lay the facts out there.

Forced Fumbles:
Patriots - 14
Chiefs - 23

Interceptions:
Patriots - 18
Chiefs - 15

Sacks:
Patriots - 30
Chiefs - 52
You allowed something like 27 points per game this season and over 400+ yards per game.

Congrats on the sack numbers, but your defense doesn't get an absurd amount of pressure on the QB. In fact, as has already been stated here and verified with facts, your defense gets less overall pressure than ours.

I linked to this analysis, which concluded that "NE's pressure, and Mahomes' performance under pressure that night, was a large part of why NE won the game." He threw several incompletions (including one in the red zone on 3rd down with Kelce 1 on 1) and was forced to check down to very short completions as a result of the pressure.

Who do we trust here - some salty guy named "RollChiefsRoll" on ChiefsPlanet, or a guy whose job is to literally break down film?
I would trust the multitude of sources having the Chiefs favored to win at home

As for the KC comeback, the Pats procedure for being up big in a game is to give ground/points/possession in exchange for time to shorten the game. This is partly due to KC's comeback in week 6. Not to take too much away from KC, but a portion of the comeback was due to our policy.

Like the Pats playing the Jets week 17 the Chiefs played oakland, with both franchise getting ready for the summer. The Pats handled LAC fairly well and let us to shorten the game and the Chargers go two TDs in the 4th quarter.

So both KC and NE are coming off solids wins recently and wins against division rival getting ready for off season.
I sure as hell hoped Flo learned something that game. Dropping into that soft C2 was galactically stupid.

Seems more likely that Mahomes figured out the defense.
It's something that we see a lot when we get out to a big lead, but unfortunately, they went to it way too early in that game. The execution when we went to more of a Cover 2 was also poor, admittedly, but that's not a look you want to give Mahomes very often.

I would be like you coming in this weekend with no White, Edelman, Hightower and Michel. Think on that..

You STILL haven't faced a healthy Houston since 2014...
I had thought that Maclin played in that game, but i could be mistaken.

Btw, we also had our share of injuries. We had no running back and had to pull Steven Jackson out of retirement in like week 15 and we started our ST specialist Brandon Bolden at RB.

Also, that was the year that Edelman was banged up with a foot injury as well as Amendola got injured late in the season when he had to return punts caused Edelman could not and we had removed Chris Harper from punt returns after he muffs the one in Denver.

Not to mentioned this was the game of Chandler Jones had his episode in the police parking lot and we had our star LB Collins free lancing, which cost us in the AFCCG.

So yes KC had its concerns, but so did the Pats.

Yeah but lets not act like Alex Smith = Patrick Mahomes.

Again this GAP between defenses doesn't exist to the degree some Patriot fans are saying, but the GAP between our offenses and special teams does exist.

Sacks are only a portion of the total number of pressures. You have fewer pressures per snap on the season than we do.

That is a fact.

Well frustrating or not, it is kind of the Pats MO. I am not a big fan of it either at times.

But been going on since we played Manning & Co. It is a percentage thing that BB goes with, make them eat time and shorten the possessions and one gets to a point where there are not enough possessions left in the game to comeback and win.

The alternative is to keep the same D, hope you stop them (and no freer walk down field) in exchange for giving them a chance to score quicker.

Maclin played about 2 series before being benched.

I personally dont care for injuries, look at the Eagles last year... no excuse. That said it is nice to have both teams healthy so no excuses.

To be clear I am an insufferable homer :-)

I just don't let my fandom skew reality.

I have an engineering background....that should explain it. :-)

Agree. Bill is all about risk management.

I do recall on Monday after the KC game he was pissed. That was telling.
