NFL statement: “The email from Jon Gruden denigrating DeMaurice Smith is appalling, abhorrent and wholly contrary to the NFL’s values. We condemn the statement and regret any harm that its publication may inflict on Mr. Smith or anyone else.” https://t.co/b9IUku9saH

I'd like to know who leaked the emails.
I was thinking something like the end of Casino would’ve been appropriate. [Reply]

What punishment would be right for that?
You are going to have to give up your man card. Don't sell your soul to the crying out the ass for being a white male in a time of change crowd.
Act like a man.
Given that kraft was one of the architects of the nfls smug penalties to protect the shield. Like the way he was front and center of punishing ray Rice but then whined like a little girl when his own team cheated. Then he doesn't get suspended for something one of his players probably would have been suspended for.
Same with Jim Irsay and all his mistakes.
But this is the most egregious. What gruden did was stupid. But my gosh what Snyder "allegedly" did is beyond egregious. McNair once said you can't have the criminals running the asylum. How ironic. Because they are. [Reply]
The mistake that got Gruden was him discussing Goodell in those emails. I think he called him a pussy or some such thing. Then it got elevated to the Star Chamber. [Reply]

Technically those charges were ultimately dropped against Sapp. [Reply]

So where is the reporting on what Snyder did?
A widower owner getting a handjob is not a big deal and a player getting one would not be a suspension.
Gruden was ESPN's highest paid employee at $6.5 million a year and then becomes a top 3 compensated NFL coach. No excuse for having an extreme attiitude of ingratitude to piss and moan about any changes that try to expand who gets to do stuff.
I can get behind Snyder being held accountable to the degree that is warranted, but it would be silly to go apeshit punishing Bob Kraft over a happy ending. [Reply]

What does being a widower have to do with committing a criminal act?
Owners are supposed to be held to a higher code of conduct than players/coaches and yet Blowjob Bob Kraft was not even suspended a single game for getting arrested. [Reply]

It was silly of kraft and Goodell to go apeshit over player substance abuse policies and punishing for often unproven claims of player misconduct. Regardless of how you feel about kareem hunts actions for example it was not illegal. I don't have sympathy for the biggest Karen owner of them all suddenly getting it thrown back at him.
Daniel Snyder on the other hand is different. That was a blatant lack of institutional control. And that's going lightly, since he likely enabled much of the behavior. [Reply]
