Maybe not in the regular season, but they were clearly the better team down the stretch once the Bucs didn’t have an embarrassment of riches in the weapons department.
Their defense clearly started to drop off last year and that will only continue as they lose more pieces. They’re also likely to lose Whitehead, who’s low key one of their best defenders on an already weak secondary overall.
And it’s not just about his time with the Bucs. He’s never in his career won without great defense. Now he’s going to do it at 44 without a ridiculous amount of weapons? Not fucking happening dude. [Reply]
