Are you going to watch any of the FIBA games? It's going to be Team Canada's year. [Reply]

I’ll watch for sure if they are on at an hour where I’m awake. Canada actually got virtually all of their top players this go around (other than Wiggins). SGA alone is enough to propel that group to a medal and it is about time that their world performance matched the level of basketball the country is producing now. [Reply]

Looks like they have shitty initial draw but if they get out of that I fully expect them to at least nab silver. [Reply]
OK, so I live in Puerto Rico... and I've been to both of these KU exhibition games, so far... and sitting by the bench tomorrow.
Hunter Dickinson will be Big 12/16 First Team All-American. If not, Big 12/16 POY.
If he stays healthy... Bill Self and team are gonna feed him all he can handle.
This team looks GOOD.
And the Bahamas National team isn't full of scrubs... They have Buddy Hield, DeAndre Ayton... and Klay Thompson... but Ayton and Thompson weren't there on Saturday. [Reply]
Just from listening to Bill Self talk about Johnny Furphy, there’s no doubt that Self expects the 6-foot-7, 180-pound SF to play a major role this season. Self said Furphy reminds him some of Svi Mykhailiuk and Christian Braun. #kubball

Self said he expects him to play a lot of minutes from the jump. And he emphasized LOT. I was pretty surprised. He doesn’t generally make comments like that about a guy who hasn’t even stepped onto campus, outside of the obvious like Josh Jackson or Wiggins. [Reply]
It has already been announced that Clemence will redshirt. Self has said there is almost a zero chance that he will be active this year. The only thing that could change that would be injuries to others. [Reply]

he'd be #11, that still leaves 10 guys that you'd expect to get minutes. [Reply]
6. Jackson
7. Braun
8. Furphy
9. McDowell
10. Timberlake
RS Clemence
I don’t expect many minutes for Braun. He shouldn’t really play next to Dickinson and Adams played the 5 last year.
McDowell has looked great, but I’ll also doubt he gets many minutes this year. He might be a guy that just flashes in limited playing time. Excited for him in the long term though.
I think the bench is mostly Furphy, Timberlake, and Jackson with creative subbing to spell Dickinson. Expect 30-34 minutes a game for Big Dick. [Reply]
They said Deandre Ayton came out and warmed a bit but went back to the locker room. Came back out in street clothes. So, he won't be playing. Still got Buddy Heild and another NBA player. I assume they might have meant Klay Thompson. Not sure as I just turned on the stream. [Reply]
