He's worth the wait until he isn't.

Maybe he just had a cleanup surgery before training camp?

1st round talents don't go undrafted due to injury. Look no further than Jameson Williams.

2nd/3rd rounders? Sure - sometimes.

Williams wasn't a 1st round talent even if healthy. The separation just isn't there.

Would Trey Smiths health issue be a similar situation we see here?

Reoccurring health and injury problems seem like they would the same thing.

Dane Orshlovsky is a bit of a hot take guy lately. Maybe a bit aggresive on that one.

I actually think he’s one of the better analysts out there, his food takes are awful.

“All red wines should be drank with ice” lol. That one was brutal.

Very possibly, yes.

But I think he was as a mid 2nd into early/mid 3rd sort of guy without the injury.

One thing worth noting w/r/t Smith, though - he came back from his injury issues and played at an extremely high level. That would have served to lessen the injury concerns.

With Ross, people are still just leaning into a few games from his Freshman year when he's not done anything to demonstrate that even a 'healthy' version, post-injury, is that level of player anymore.

"Healthy" Justyn Ross wasn't great his sophomore year. And semi-healthy Justyn Ross wasn't even good his senior year. He looked like a 3rd/4th round guy.

It's just a nonsensical statement in a ton of ways.

I'll take it one step further and question how much of that freshman year contained actual NFL level play.
