Now I'm guessing that's the Giants seeing the $$$ being given to WRs and thinking they may be able to maximize his value here and get him moved for a 2.
But if we could get him for one of those later 3s I think you have to strongly consider it. He'd come w/ 4 years left on his deal if you factor in the 5th year option; same team control as a 3rd rounder would have. And his price would be relatively low for most of it as any signing bonus accelerates onto NYGs cap.
I think I definitely pick up the phone anyway.
3rd to NYG for Toney, 4th to JAX for Shenault. Profit.
GET IT DONE VANCE!!!
Based on what I've read about all the on and off field issues he's had, it may not even cost a R3. [Reply]

They’re frustrated because he isn’t even showing up to offseason workouts. Terrible sign.
Yeah, he skipped workouts as a rookie, again this year, was ejected from a game for throwing a punch, didn't learn the playbook, has been more focused on making a rap album than football and apparently his social media is a disaster. [Reply]

There seems to be little that can be done that you wouldn’t take umbrage with at this point. Yes, there’s risk here. But the upside is significant and the cost would be minimal. [Reply]

For a third the surplus value potential is MASSIVE. And it may not even require that much.
I think there's levels to this risk shit though. He's in his 2nd year in the league and is already about to skip workouts for the 2nd time. Even Antonio Brown faked some sanity his first couple years. Toneys not even trying. [Reply]
According to that….they aren’t even fielding calls….THEY’RE MAKING THEM.
The New York Daily News' Pat Leonard reports the Giants are "looking to trade" 2021 first-round WR Kadarius Toney.
Per Leonard, the Giants are the ones making the calls to other teams and seeing what they can get for last year's No. 20 overall pick. Of course, new GM Joe Schoen and coach Brian Daboll have zero attachment to Toney after he was a Dave Gettleman/Joe Judge pick. But Toney flashed big-play ability when he wasn't injured last season. There's little chance the G-Men get a first-rounder back for Toney, but he still is just 23 years old. Toney has failed to report to the Giants' voluntary offseason program, drawing the ire of Daboll, who made it a point in his media session to note Toney's absence. [Reply]
No to Kadarius Toney. Maybe it's living out here and hearing about his every move for the last two years but no thanks. They are shopping him now not because they are trying to maximize his value, but because Daboll tried engaging him and got nowhere. He isn't communicating with the Giants even though they have a new coach, new program. [Reply]
