We traded for a 33 year old one last year....but again I think it's the salary, picks and contract that would be tough to work around.

A 6th round pick in the middle of the season. This entire offseason has been about getting younger.

That’s a joke.

I bet he wishes Hutchinson would fall to 32 as well.

3 days ago, Lucas Niang had a progress MRI.

“Everything was where it needs to be,” said #Chiefs GM Brett Veach

Head trainer and VP Rick Burkholder said Niang is right on schedule. Could be ready by the end of training camp.

#Chiefs GM Brett Veach likes the EDGE depth in both Rounds 1 AND 2. KC has four picks between the two rounds, so that’s a good thing considering the big need there.

He specifically mentioned he would like it if Hutchinson or Gardner would fall to 29, but that it won't happen.

We’re getting a RB guys.

The #Chiefs GM really likes the late-round running backs (5th, 6th, 7th and UDFA). Said he thinks a UDFA will be a 1,000-yard rusher. Feels like CEH and RoJo will have a new friend come next Sunday.

Chiefs have four 7ths.

Interesting that he said that he thinks that 30-60 range is really good. I'm sure he has the guys that he might trade up for if they fall....but I wonder if we take one of those guys at 29 (gives him the chance to get the guy he wants for sure) and then trades down from 30.

So not trading up but staying put at 29 and then trading down from 30 to get another pick in that range. Then using some of those 3rd and 4th round picks to move back up into the 30-60 range for another one.
