Huh? We literally did though. It's why the Payton hire took so long. They initially offered Payton the job but he wouldn't have full organizational control. That's why they pivoted to Harbaugh and Ryans and why Payton floated out that he was concerned about working with someone in management. Only after the other candidates busted did they come back and give Payton more control. [Reply]
