Six games after Thanksgiving and only 2 in Denver, I don't like that at all, would much rather have late home games.

1 - vs Raiders W
2 - vs Commanders W
3 - @ Dolphins*
4 - @ Bears*
5 - vs Jets*
6 - @ Chiefs
7 - vs Packers W
8 - vs Chiefs*

BYE

10 - @ Bills
11 - vs Vikings*
12 - vs Browns W
13 - @ Texans W
14 - @ Chargers
15 - @ Lions*
16 - vs Patriots*
17 - vs Chargers W
18 - @ Raiders*

Three of the first eight games before the bye are in Denver, so you guys will appreciate that... there's a chance those first 4 games could have good results, but that stretch from week 5 through week 11 is very tough.

I'll provide my updated thoughts later, but I'm still in the 9-10 win ballpark with no playoffs. I see 6 games that I would comfortably put as a win and another 7 with an * where I think they can win. Yes, I'll always mark home vs KC with an * and as I've said many times, I'll never project < .500 before the season.

And, no I'm not suggesting they have a shot at winning 10+ games. They will lose 1-2 they should win and vice versa, in the end... no more than 10 wins, that's the ceiling and likely looking at 9 if they can avoid injuries. Obviously have to fix some of the problems from Russ, but avoiding another rash of injuries is key.
In all seriousness, I don't know that their injuries cost them too many wins. They didn't look much better when healthy than when they weren't.

Denver had a pretty weak schedule last year and also caught a few of the good teams at the best time. Still finished with 5 wins. I don't see them doubling their win total against what looks to be a tougher schedule, even if they stay healthy. And it would be very optimistic to expect them to stay healthy for the first time in several years.

I also think it's pretty optimistic to chalk up the Chargers game as a win. I know that Denver's beaten them the last few times in Denver, but if both teams are somewhat healthy, LAC is a lot more talented.

I'm thinking 8-9 wins is most realistic.

They had injuries at WR, OL and then with Javonte after 4 games... there were others. Say whatever you like about Tim Patrick, but he was a big miss for that team. That was then... injuries always happen, but they've come in bunches last few seasons and no, injuries is not the only reason they lost. The HC also sucked. Wilson has issues and it's Sean's job to correct them and get him back to something resembling a starting top 15 QB that they mortgaged 2 drafts for..

Broncos better start off hot in the first month bc their 5 game stretch after that is Rodgers, Mahomes twice and Allen.

They could easily spiral out of control if they don’t start hot. They start 2-2 and they could end up end up 3-6 after week 9

IMO, that's what is going to happen.

Broncos are 1-of-6 teams set to appear on primetime this season on Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football, Thursday Night Football and NFL Network.

Denver's 141 primetime appearances over the last 40 years are the 2nd most of any NFL team in that time (Dallas, 158). https://t.co/eZZ9xeuJwf

There are only 4 teams with no prime time games... Colts, Cardinals, Texans (?) and I forget the other.

Oh, I'm stoked... Chiefs, Bills, Vikings and Patriots. 2-2 at best, could be worse.

Based on records over the past 7 years, Denver should also be one of them. They're closer to those teams than they are contending teams.

At this point, I don't care about how many prime time games (if any) they're on because I'd rather watch on Sunday afternoons anyway. I think it's weird they don't find a way to give every team 1 shot at prime time, but I get it - ratings, ad $'s and overall viewership.

Surprised the Cardinals didn't get at least one.
