Children’s Mercy is treating 12 patients from the rally. 11 are children. 9 have gunshot wounds, per Lisa Augustine, Senior Manager, Media Relations Children’s Mercy Kansas City.

As of 4:30, University Health confirmed that they are treating 8 gunshot victims, 2 are in critical condition.

4 others have non gunshot injuries.

At this point, I'm just wondering what the definition is here. It seems far more likely that this was an altercation among a group of teenage "children" than a bunch of stray bullets just happening to take down 12 people, 11 of whom are kids. But maybe they actually had time to redirect the adults to other hospitals. :-)
