We LITERALLY lost Brown for the same exact reason.

Utterly replaceable.

“I do know that we’re playing tackle football and you have to practice tackle football.” - Sean Payton

Yeah, that's one of a half dozen jabs at the former coach that I have enjoyed.

I do feel like Payton was a good hire, if not for his cap woes. At the very least, he should bring a winning attitude back to the culture there. I wouldn't expect it this season, but as time goes on and you know...quarterbacks get replaced.

Who knows, this is the time for optimism... it's a better path for sure. I'll wait until weeks 6-7 to determine if I need to postpone enthusiasm for another season.

Payton is not a bad coach. He just won’t be the savior that many Broncos fans think he will be. They will be far better under him, I just don’t think they will be a legit SB threat.

Speaking for myself and others that I know, few look at him as a savior... but he's the best they've had at the position in quite some time.

I agree. He’s the best you have had in decades. Probably since Shanahan.

Really? Because most Donk fans that I know are more like Knowshit. They think that Tater plus Paid a ton equals a Superbowl contender. A couple of Broncos fan pages have been showing up in my Facebook feed. 90% of them are delusional.

The Chiefs got rid of Tyreek Hill for similar reasons. He was just too expensive to keep.

And what happened next?

The Broncos have lost Von Miller, Bradley Chubb, Shelby Harris and Dre’Mont Jones. Those were their best pass rushers.

They couldn’t afford to keep them and now they will suffer the consequences.

It is pretty obvious why they were willing to let him go. Reek is all about Reek. His actions and words have shown this from the day he was traded.

The Chiefs’ star players stayed healthy, the officials ensured they made it out of the AFCCG and they won Sodgate. Tyreek Hill had a great season in Miami too.
