Surprising number of KU fans on Twitter upset about Pettiford transferring.
I said early in the season that I felt he was the best candidate to take the back up point spot. He looked much better as a freshman before his injuries. He showed some promise early this year, but after that he was really bad.
Not having a Remy Martin who could come in and create his own bucket reliably off the bench really hurt this team. Same thing Sherron provided in 2008.
Not sure why any KU fan would be upset. Especially, with the incoming guards. [Reply]

Yeah, I don't understand what there is to be mad about.

Self hyped the guy up for a while (which may explain why some are upset), but he was literally the worst player ever to get significant minutes in this program for Self. He had to go. [Reply]
Assuming that Wilson, Dick, and McCullar leave, Kansas has 8 returning scholarship players (Yesufu, Harris, Cuffe, Rice, Clemence, Udeh, Adams, and Ejiofor). Add in 4 recruits (Jackson, Johnson, McDowell, Adams) and you're at 12 - one open with more departures likely on the way.
