All it would take to pique my interest is a semblance of competitiveness and what looks like a willingness of ownership to field a decent team. I'll admit, it was fun to watch the run they went on at the end of '20 to make the playoffs, only to bow out meekly to the Braves.
If you really want to endear yourself here head over to the Cardinals thread and let them know Cueto did nothing wrong in the benches clearing brawl.

Yeah. That’s abysmal. I got really pushed that our high school girls team wouldn’t get it to the middle of the floor against a press. But even they figured it out. Lost on a last second shot, and would have won by 10 if they’d attack the press instead of chilling out and getting fucking trapped.

But will they all love Brandon Phillips as much as i love Yadier Molina?

I don’t think they’ll be seeded as an 8 or 9 unless they lose their next 3 consecutive games.

Jumped back in the top 25. If they can run to the SECC, they could get a 5. If they can win the SECC, i'd say they could go as high as a 4. Currently, likely a 7, maybe a 6 based on name.

You're right, they may lose to another seed in the teens at this rate.

Since you brought up the past 25 years in the post I quoted, wanna guess how many times Kansas lost a seed in the teens in the first weekend?

It's double the amount Kentucky has!

The South Carolina and Michigan St. losses really hurt. This team would be flirting with a 3 or 4 seed if those games went the other way.

They should be a 6 or 7 of now. Would need a lot to work out to be a 4. 5 could be do able if they run the table out.

That has more to do with KU consistently getting much higher seeds than Kentucky and not having years where they miss the tournament than anything else, you know that right?

Average seed for KU since 2000-2001 (no missed tournament appearances): 1.95
Average seed for UK since 2000-2001 (three missed tournament appearances): 3.19

And that isn't even counting the COVID year when KU finished on top of all the polls. The programs haven't been on the same level for literal decades now.

The last time KU was seeded below 4 was 1999-2000 (#8). In that timespan, UK has been seeded at or worse than that four times and missed the tournament three times.

Is that Kentucky math?

If KU makes the tournament 10 times out of 10 and loses to 2 double digit seeds, that's twice as bad as if UK makes it to the tournament 7 times out of 10 and only loses to 1 double digit seed?

Hey, Missouri's only lost to one double digit seed the past 11 years, they're better than the blue bloods!

I'd rather miss the tournament 2 years out of 10 if it means winning a title once or twice every 10 years (Villanova) than making it 10+ and not doing shit (Syracuse).
