Such a terrible idea to put two sec teams in the playoffs. The eye test concept is stupid. Usc and osu would have gotten smoked in the playoffs, but it's the best way to fairly slot because otherwise, you're forced to assume Bama would have the same record with osu's schedule and vice versa. That's like denying all national league teams a baseball playoff spot. Between picking Bama this year and tOsu last year, picking non conference winners for the playoffs needs to stop. It's just absurd. I hope this lays a ratings turd because playing conference against conference for a championship feels just icky.
