I'm told the Chiefs had 81 players present for today's start of Phase II of the NFL's offseason workout program, which is, of course, voluntary. That's a great number.

That he's good enough to win a roster spot.
I mentioned it the other day but he was an All-American at UNI and at his pro-day posted better vertical and long jumps than any WR at the combine. He's 6'2" and runs a 4.46 40.
As long as the oline is there, that's all that matters. Those guys need time to gel. I'd love to be able to see the camp battles for C--->RT and see how they play out live but I'm sure the Chiefs won't be broadcasting that for the average fan. [Reply]

Hopefully, he can beat out other career fringe guys like Fortson and Kemp.
The difference is this, and yes, I'm repeating myself but in case you missed it before.
1. First team All-American at University of Northern Iowa.
2. MVP of the East-West Shrine Bowl.
3. Was not invited to the Combine but ran a 4.46 at his pro day and also had a broad jump of 11' and a vertical of 43", both of which would have been the best of any WR at the combine.
He's actually a really good prospect, he's just had some injuries. [Reply]

I'd have to find it, but basically he's an incredible athlete and would be a good signing for the Chiefs. I'm not even suggesting he makes the roster, but it wouldn't surprise me given his incredible athleticism.
