Albeit a small sample size Matheny was better than alot of posters on here said he would be. Team should compete for .500 this year much better than Edgar who probably should have been hunting and canning vegetables a few years ago. [Reply]

In related news, I have acquired a 1967 Shelby GT Cobra for a children’s bicycle, a razr scooter, 3 cups of coffee, and a signed photograph of Jim Eisenrach. [Reply]

A guy with two TJs on the same elbow ain’t a ‘67 Cobra. [Reply]

pretty disappointing that after years of picking near the top of the draft the royals don't have a top 10 prospect and only have 3 in the top 100 (at least according to Keith Law) [Reply]

OR...you could look at it this way - they consistently have 3 players in the top 50 on most lists - which is good, if not great. The back 50 seem a bit more volatile on most lists. Kower slips into that zone on some lists. Pena would be the other likely top 100 player on several lists if he had more of a body of work in the minors. I could see guys like Isbel taking the Whitt Merrifield route...never on anyone's list, but just performs better than many former top 100 prospects once he's actually in the majors. [Reply]
