Russell Wilson's Why Not You Foundation raises millions. Less than half goes to charity
Most celebrity charities are like that. They skim off the top and pay salaries to people they know. If you want to donate to a charity. Pick your local United Way. They are typically at 20 cents on the dollar maybe less and you can decide where the money goes.

That article is damning. 39 cents on the dollar to charity. Execs making double what their peers make. Maybe worst is how it gloms onto other charities and acts like it’s the one doing the heavy lifting. His “golf classic” had partner charities which gave Seattle hospital 2.6M in 2017, of which only 80K came from Let’s Ride . Yet he’s on the field presenting the fat check like he did it

This dude’s entire rep has crashed as far as Bill Cosby’s

Whoa, that looks bad. I know nothing about celebrity charities, but claiming charitable successes that other organizations actually did while paying friends exorbitant salaries seems like classic grift.

In an unrelated note, I wonder if Wilson's contract has any morality clauses.

Give Russel 1 year. That’s it. Major improvement or he’s off the team completely next offseason.

I’d eat the 1 year hit by trading him for literally anything or outright cutting him and taking the whole cap hit at once if I can’t get even a 7th rounder for him. Take the bandaid off.

Then, you’re in place the following year to have a #1 overall pick and you can replace the GM and be able to attract a good GM that Payton can work with that will have a lot of cap space and a ton of valuable draft picks to work with.

It’s a painful 2 years, but it’s the only way to have a chance to compete in 3-5 years.
They might have to give up picks for someone to eat that contract.

It's happened in the past.

Payton will make 150% more than Andy Reid per year!

24% went to charity.

It was basically a tax dodge to pay WalRuss’ assistant.

The mega rich aren’t like us. They’re way scammier.

“This includes more than $200,000 a year for an executive who also worked for Ciara and Russell Wilson’s family office, the nonprofit confirmed, which raises questions about excess benefit transactions, private inurement and the organization’s “free-for-all” governance structure, nonprofit experts said.”

Of course that self serving cunt is more interested in using philanthropy as a way to market himself over actually helping people.

Four More Wins

There are quite a few people around the league who I trust, and those people are elated that the Broncos hired head coach Sean Payton.
In talking to my contacts who work for other teams, the consensus is the hiring of Payton was a home run for the Broncos. In fact, most of these scouts, coaches and executives I encountered think Payton – by himself – gives you four more wins on the season. It’s his in-game coaching ability and adjustments that has them thinking Payton will at least double the wins the Broncos had under Nathaniel Hackett. Some felt Payton could triple the four wins that Hackett had in 2022, meaning the Broncos would have 12 wins and certainly be in the playoffs.
It’s the in-game decisions people kept talking about. That’s not to say what Payton brings to the table with the culture he will establish. It also doesn’t include his influence on the offense and the high-powered system he will be striving to build.

If Payton’s in-game decisions are worth four more wins, then the Broncos are going to push for 10 wins next season. It’s super early, but that number sounds about right for what they could do in 2023. A 10-win season likely puts the Broncos in the playoff conversation – something I fully expect this upcoming season.

They are talent depleted.

Of course, you take away the dumbass turnovers and they win 2, maybe 3 more this year.

:-) never not wishing. If we know anything of “league circles”. It’s that they’re almost always wrong. You can add 4 wins for Paidaton, then subtract 4 for EmbaRuss!! You turds aren’t winning shit in this division as long as Mahomes and/or Reid is here. But I’m damn glad you paid out even more draft picks for yet another bust. I hope you do it every single year! Drop a couple late rounders for brokedick Michael Thomas!

Russ has a long offseason of scamming cancer charities. Don't expect him to get his head in Payton's new playbook much.
