No, not even close to what the Chiefs did. I get that mega donk homer is your thing, but mega donk homer, bald face liar is a bad look even for you. So maybe just calm down with your story telling, sport.

The Chiefs were right there in terms of making 5 straight super bowls so there’s that

The Saints went 49-15. The Chiefs' regular season record during that same stretch was 48-16.

MOAR Joe Banner

Originally Posted by :
“He’s a great fit there,” said former NFL executive and The 33rd Team analyst Joe Banner, who worked with Payton in the late ’90s when both were in Philadelphia and Payton was the Eagles’ quarterbacks coach under Ray Rhodes. “He has demonstrated the ability to hire a really good defensive coordinator and then give him space. He has the ability to complement that defense with how he runs an offense. And if there’s anybody out there besides Andy Reid and Kyle Shanahan that could make that offense the best that it can be, his name is Sean Payton.

“Now, no coach guarantees you success. But if you’re looking for good fits, Sean’s background – how he’s been successful, where he’s been successful, how he plays the game – the way that team is built right now, this always seemed like a very easy decision for the Broncos.”

“They’re close,” Banner said. “I hate to use that cliché. But their defense is undeniably good. And I don’t believe Russell Wilson suddenly became a complete disaster. I do believe he’s a descending player. I do believe he’s been that for a couple of years. But I think he’s still at a level where he can run a successful offense.

“You can’t do it behind that offensive line calling the plays Hackett was calling for him. I don’t expect the Broncos to look back and say, ‘Wow, were we smart to make this trade (for Wilson) and give him all of that money.’ But I do expect we’re going to see a Russell Wilson next year that looks nothing like the Russell Wilson we saw this season. Sean Payton will make sure of that. Combined with the defense, it will give them a chance to improve quite a bit pretty quickly.”

So that’s the plan? To try and bring Brees out of retirement? That might even be funnier than sticking with Russ.

Did I miss the part where the Broncos all sudden acquired Drew Brees and that saints roster from those years? The Broncos roster is absolute garbage and have traded away most of the draft capital needed to improve it, and are in cap hell on top of that.

So lure Brees to Denver, build a roof over the stadium and realign to the NFC South? Anything else?

:-) Pointing to the Minneapolis Miracle as just a stroke of bad luck for Payton is hilariously retarded. Even if Marcus Williams doesn't go full retard Diggs still easily steps out of bounds and the Saints are well within range of a game winning FG.

Wilson is the QB. Sean can't change that. The AFC is brutal with better QBs. Getting him means nothing and they will win nothing.

Knowmo: “the Chiefs are wasting Mahomes bc he only has 1 ring!”

Also Knowmo: “the broncos got an amazing coach who only won 1 ring with Brees!”

Payton knows. This quote is incredibly telling.

“The pressure is on us to put a good run game together and reduce the degree of difficulty on his position."

His way to 'fix' Russ is to take the ball out of his hands unless necessary.
