Nzoner's Game Room>The race for the #1 seed in the AFC
BossChief 03:21 PM 11-06-2022
With Buffalo losing to NY today, if we beat Tennessee tonight we will be tied for 1st place in the AFC but Buffalo owns the head to head tiebreaker.

It’s going to be interesting to see the energy KC comes out with tonight.

Bengals moved the ball at will on us. They punted 1 time and the other time we got them on downs they drove 70 yards.

We hit Burrow once.

We can’t stop their offense

we just need to hold them to field goals

acting like they dropped 40 on us is stupid

Chiefs have the weakest strength of schedule left in the NFL for the remaining games. They should be the 2 seed at worst

I think the Bengals have a better chance of running the table than the Bills.

I don't think the Chiefs can afford any more losses. I knew that damn Colts game would bite us.

Just got a bit easier with Von being out for the season if the Bengals or Jets or Dolphins can take care of business.

Oh I want to play. Now do the Chiefs!

If the Bengals had scored 40+ in 7 drives, it would have been one of the worst defensive performances of all time.

The Bengals punted once and even that probably wouldn't have happened without a 10 yd penalty.

I believe we only punted once as well.

Yup. Only one punt each.

Neither defense stopped the other.

They both rolled up over 350+ yards of offense (both balanced with over 100 yards rushing each)

Both were efficient on 3rd down. Both averaged 6.5 ypp. Both had 20+ first downs. Penalties were pretty even.

The main difference (well, two)? Chiefs had a turnover, Bengals didn't. The Bengals ran 66 plays on offense, the Chiefs only 54.

Thus the 3 point difference in the final score.

It was basically an evenly matched game. Sometimes the little things get ya.

Staylor reminded me that the Bengals did have a turnover on downs so essentially we both did have 1 turnover a piece.

The difference was ultimately the field goal. They made one, we missed ours.

The other main difference is that Mahomes was doing it with a stronger pass rush on him compared to Burrow. It sure felt a lot easier for Cincy. The Chiefs DL and OL both need to step up their game in a potential rematch.
