Those first few days are critical if you want them to imprint upon you.

Or wait ... that's baby ducks. I'm not sure if it's the same for students.

Here's an interesting article about Covid and the labor force. This goes a long way toward explaining the mysterious lack of workers right now.

Fyi

@dianaberrent: You are eligible for the new bivalent booster *if* you:

- Completed your primary vaccine series (2 shots of Pfizer or Moderna or one shot of J&J)

- Had your last booster (if any) over 2 months ago

- Are age 12+ (for Pfizer) or age 18+ (for Moderna)

Pass it on...

Long (____) fill in whatever virus, has been an observed phenomenon since the late 1800's.

But hey, you do you.

It isn't that mysterious. Older people retired. Some younger people declined to re-enter the work force to raise families.

This. Some older people (60s)I personally know have been completely changed by long covid when they got it before they were vaccinated.

I'll wait until I see some data in humans and what the benefit really is.

Exactly this. I've known many folks (primarily women) who decided it wasn't worth paying for childcare to go back to work.
