If there's any speculation to be made based on the Fangio report, this is it.

Of course KnowMo is in denial about that (very likely) possibility though.

Also, didn't Payton himself say there's a greater than 50% chance that he's back at his new job?

I think you're right. I think the Houston job is the "best" one when u consider the market size, draft picks, cap situation, owners willingness to spend $$$ (I know Denver's ownership has more $$$ but Cal McNair has plenty himself) and being able to contend in the division relatively quickly. But its such a dysfunctional franchise. No way Id take it if I were as established as Payton.

All of the other openings suck for more reasons.

Carolina job. Much less dysfunction, good talent but not irreplaceable talent, and he could be looking at the easiest path to a division title in year 1 and every year thereafter.

The Broncos remain in very strong position to be able to get Sean Payton, whatever the interest level by other teams. They have the NFL's wealthiest owners. Payton has told associates that he likes the Broncos' stable ownership and is willing to work with Russell Wilson.

You're probably right.

Willing to work.

Such a great vote of confidence for what's supposed to be your franchise QB.

Reminds me when Andy Reid was "Willing to work" with Matt Cassel. :-)

And you'd get to pick your QB. Sure you aren't in the top 5 but you are top 10 and you have two 2nd round picks.

But have soooòo many other issues. They also dont have nearly as good of draft picks to trade. The reality is the Denver job is not that attractive compared to most of the others. And none of the others are stuck with FatRuss.

But just keep on being you, so I can laugh and say I TOLD YOU SO, when you get Aaron Rodgered again. :-)

It’s important for the next HC to establish a hierarchy where Russ isn’t above everyone else. Hackett put Russ on a pedestal. Payton is probably secretly excited to coach Russ.

This is the 2nd tweet you've posted that's referenced the same EXACT thing. You're getting desperate.

How the fuck is the ownership "stable" when they just took over. They also maybe wealthy, but notoriously cheap. You also have people that know NOTHING about football sitting in on HC interviews. It's embarrassing.
