How many shares do you have?
I wish much more than I do but since I have never traded before and was just bored during lockdown I opened an etrade account with some play money. I believe I only bought about 3 or 500 shares when it was just around $1 or so. I also bought some AAL at $9, OXY, MRO.......but again just pocket change to have some fun. This is why I am not terribly nervous about holding or not.....not enough skin in the game lol... [Reply]
I've got the Jack. I bought into a subscription that picks the stocks and the terms so all I do is execute the trade. They have an over 90% hit rate so we'll see how it goes. I feel good about it. [Reply]

Interesting. Options can be useful.
Care to share the stock you’ve sold options on? [Reply]

I'd rather go higher, depends on the stock and circumstances but generally it needs to get higher then that. [Reply]
It may be too late to get into it now, but I have a stock called EDUC that has been spiking for the past couple of weeks. They make children's books, and just put out a stupendous earnings report.
I've had them for about 4 or 5 years. I bought it and it immediately went up 20 percent, but I didn't sell it because I didn't want to pay short term capital gains. That was kind of a mistake because it started a two year decline where it lost 50 percent. I bought more of it on the way down until I had a fair amount of it, and then it started climbing after the shutdown. It's been spiking up the past week or so, and now I've got a really nice profit on it. It's inadvertently become one of my larger holdings now.
With the shutdown and school situation, it may keep going up.
Disclosure: I have a personal stake in this stock. [Reply]
