Nzoner's Game Room>How good are the Chiefs chances at the AFC's #1 seed?

Teams that actually matter in this conversation:

Kansas City (10-4) (vs PIT, at CIN, at DEN)

New England (9-5) (vs BUF, vs JAC, at MIA)

Tennessee (9-5) (vs SF, vs MIA, at HOU)

Baltimore (8-5) (vs GB, at CIN, vs LAR, vs PIT)

Buffalo (8-6) (at NE, vs ATL, vs NYJ)

Indianapolis (8-6) (at ARI, vs LV, at JAC)

LA Chargers (8-6) (at HOU, vs DEN, at LV)

---

Being 1 game back with six games to play seems incredibly generous given our shitty tiebreaker situation. I'll put our odds at 99.9999999%

DVOA rankings are gonna be hilariously awesome in one week.

If the Pats lose, our SB odds may be above 30%.

Chiefs are already favored to win the SB now on NYT. Close on 538 too. If one or both of the Pats and Titans lose this weekend, those odds will climb a lot as well.

The Patriots defense is a great passing defense and an average at best run defense. Bill can’t just snap his fingers and stop Taylor and that Colts OL.

Look at the Bucs, easily one of the best run defenses in the NFL the last 2 years, and they couldn’t stop Taylor. The only reason he didn’t completely go off in the game was that the Colts took too long to start running the ball.

This just isn’t a good matchup for the Pats at all. Even on the other side of the ball, the Colts have a very good run defense and a below average passing defense.
Wentz just has to avoid doing anything stupid and turning the ball over and the Colts have a good shot.

Chiefs win 2 more they have the Division. No help needed there.

Win 1 more Clinch Playoff Spot.

Obviously 1 seed currently, that will hold if we get an L each from the Pats and Titans tomorrow. That would be extra sweet because if that happened its very likely both teams could drop another as well. In that case if we win the next 2 we can rest starters last game.

If the Chiefs beat Denver we have the division.

Right but we can get it before that if we win the next 2 or the chargers drop one. Win the next two it's ours regardless.

The Chiefs have the division already. We aren't dropping 2 of 3. Chargers aren't winning out.

1 seed is the focus.

Win the next 2, see what happens.

If by some miraculous thing the Pats and Titans drop a couple, you could theoretically rest everyone that last week.

I Can see the Pats losing to the Colts or the Bills and the Titans losing to Pitt or SF.

I think they both drop one. We just gotta win out and our toughest games are behind us.

Playing on the short week this week sucked, but at least we get extra rest/prep time for the Steelers.
