IF they send Witt to the bigs, which is the better/likely defensive alignment? Dozier at 3b, Witt at 2B and Whit in RF? Or Witt at 3B, Whit at 2B and Dozier in RF? [Reply]

MLB is so far behind on tv deals compared to the NFL. [Reply]

It's easy to get overhyped with prospects but the way he has just exploded this Spring (after a solid Spring last year) has been special to watch.
Reminds me of the stories coming out of Chiefs camp about Mahomes. No one could believe what they were seeing. [Reply]

MLB will never catch up to the NFL as long as each club is treated as its own entity and there's no hard salary cap based on TV broadcast revenues. [Reply]

Well there you have it folks, Witt needs to be on the opening day roster, batting clean up and playing everyday. [Reply]

I don't get me wrong, I think Witt Jr could actually be ready. But is 2 months worth screwing yourself out of that service time? Hell no. If he had a full year of minors under his belt there also would be a better argument. He needs sometime to go through the highs and lows of actual competitive baseball as well. [Reply]
Ftr I'm against starting Witt jr on the opening day roster but I just saw two reports that confirmed that Matheny is pushing for Witt on the opening day roster from sources I don't know how to evaluate. Sherman may be in his corner according to a different media outlet that I have no respect for. Opinions are like assholes, damn near everyone has one.
I'm at peace with it if they do, but it's going to drive ticket prices up. I don't think Dayton will bow to the pressure. [Reply]
