In Colorado at least, the only thing you can't fire someone for are protected classes (age, gender, race, etc.). Vaccination status isn't one of them, though you could make SOME argument that religious beliefs could come into play.

Beyond that, you can fire someone for just about any reason you want.

Religious or medical exemptions are about all you’ve got from that perspective.

Based on speaking with my lawyer that is

Correct. Employers can terminate you for almost any reason outside of the protected classes.

What was your final reply in the 3rd shot covid thread, DaFace?

I scrolled down on my phone for a solid 45 seconds and wasn't even halfway through. :-)

"Ha. We could easily fix it, but I'm inclined to let the thread remain broken."

(Thread isn't broken in mobile)

Maybe not you, but many of those who are not vaccinated tend to generally side with business's ability to fire at will and serve who they please. But vaccine mandates are proving to be an exception.

Also, HIPPA prevents covered entities from releasing your medical records without your permission, but I don't think that means you can't consent to their release in the context of a verification scheme.

Not that I would have any confidence in the security or or privacy of it either.

Word coming out that boosters may be recommended 6 months not 8 months after vaccination.

Why not just go walk into the pharmacy and get the booster now instead of waiting?

No link as I was just listening to the radio while driving but is it true that the following are places you can go to work where the jab is NOT mandated:
The White House
The CDC
The FDA
The WHO
Pfizer
modeRNA
Johnson & Johnson?

Or maybe the source was a whack job, who knows?

I've had employers do a blood test to find out if I'm a smoker, and give a discount for a negative result. This is essentially the same thing.

I think one would argue that absorbing nicotine is a choice while the vaccines are ultimatums?
