Seems pretty stupid that framing would be more important than throwing out base runners, since a catcher with a cannon will keep his opponents from trying to steal or get too big of a lead.
My argument is as well if framing really IS that valuable than they need a serious overhaul in the ump dept. No fucking way should umps be so bad at calling balls and strikes that a slight of hand makes that big of a difference. [Reply]

We also have a massive CF and have had some pretty great centerfielders. I'm not opposed to him doing it, it's probably worth a shot but if he ends up below average in CF I would bet money Dayton isn't going to let him stick there. Not in our ballpark. [Reply]

Yep. It's why Olivares has been up and down I-29 as well. He had another defense blunder tonight. [Reply]

I don't think he would be bad. The guy is a hell of an athlete and is really fast. He'd probably slide right in and be really damn good. [Reply]

Of course skunkhead made another poor. We seem to lose site of this because his teams win once training camp starts. How many winning August or Septmebers have his teams had in his 12 losing years as GM? [Reply]
