I don't really like it when Big 12 calls fouls different than everybody else and then the teams have to adjust to a new way of playing come March Madness.
Especially if they are used to being able to play physical without it being called.
I would be fine if they rotated officials through out the power conferences in order to try to keep things more consistent... [Reply]

Guessing he's going to start off with "Well guys, it's been a good season. We're hopeful that Howard doesn't bring too much energy so we can hope to stay in the game, but it doesn't look good. We'll get started on the offseason as soon as we are out of the tourney on Thursday afternoon." [Reply]
3 of the ESPN guys had a fantasy style draft of players in the tournament. Neither Harris or Dick were picked, but you could only pick 1 player from a school.
The funniest part though is the coaching section. Check out who Myron Metcalf picked (he didn’t have a Jayhawk yet). Is he an idiot?

He had his choice of ANY coach and that’s who he picked.
I was getting annoyed that Dick and Harris were disrespected, but if you only get 1 guy per college I get it. I figured Metcalf was holding off for Self once Wilson and McCullar were taken.

Self coached teams, especially his teams that are not stacked with 4 & 5 Star Players, often get beat by teams that are substantially more athletic, even if that team doesn't have any stand out stars.
Oklahoma State has beaten Self several times just because they were more athletic, although they did have a star or two in a couple of those games.
We have lost to unranked teams in the preseason who were just more athletic.
We got run in the tournament a couple of times by teams that were more athletic.
But in almost all of those games, we had the better players, and almost certainly a better head coach and coaching staff.
So, just thinking that a team isn't the same caliber is just naive at best, and arrogantly ignorant at worst.

And, with this KU team, I would take Howard and the points (23) all day, every day. However, I never bet against my teams.
If we win, the final spread will probably be more like 13-16, or something like that.
