Nzoner's Game Room>NFLPA Survey: Clark rated with an F-

I don't get this.

The @NFLPA just released their player team report cards for 2024 and the results are ... suboptimal for the Chiefs.

Head coach Andy Reid gets A+ but Chiefs rank dead last in training staff and ownership. Ownership gets an F- from the players. pic.twitter.com/2XyHkQfFru

You obviously love the team, and the game, and association with it all. You're a billionaire many times over...why on earth don't you just stump up a few million to make those training facilities the best around? Why be a tight arse?
Who cares? Those training facilities are probably better than anything most have ever trained in. Pretty sure they're state of the art, just not overly state of the art.
Im probably in the minority here, but IMO this whole thing is getting ridiculous now. I mean take the Texans for example, they're already looking for a new stadium and training facilities. Reliant Stadium is only 20 years old and has hosted Two Super Bowls, and countless number of rodeos, special events and concerts annually, but its "not good enough." Whatever.

Uh no they're not, for example Xavier Worthy saw a downgrade in facilities when he was drafted. I think some people completely don't understand where college facilities are today.

I'm going to propose a theory about the big change in scores, and how it might reflect something other than a change in conditions.

It's unlikely that the increases in scores this year are due to big changes made by the team. It's more likely that the team got rid of some malcontents in the locker room. If you have a few players who are big complainers, they're probably going to use this as an avenue to vent. When you get rid of those complainers, the scores go up. So an increase in scores might be an indicator that the team did some good cleanup on the roster.

When most of these owners expect others to help stump up, at least partially, for new stadiums, maybe I shouldn't be surprised when they don't pay for state-of-the-art facilities.

Look, obviously there's little clear negative impact given the success. My point is simply I don't get the tightness. As someone pointed out, that's perhaps one of the many, many reasons I'm not a billionaire. I wouldn't hoard billions for the sake of a few million going to my favourite football team.

It's just shrewd business. A lot of wealthy people got there by being very particular about how they spent their money. It's not like winning the lottery. They still see excess spending as waste...a poor or unnecessary investment.

Maybe some of the more recent athletes have been coddled too much

Hunt is successful so no complain but it's clear that he runs the chiefs like goldman sachs. I am having a laugh thinking he could tinkering with having Gen AI announcers to save a few bucks.
