Where are you getting that from what I said?

They aren't doing knee surgeries here at this point or atleast haven't been for a bit. But even if they were, if you test positive prior to an elective surgery, that surgery isn't performed until a negative test.

You’re a patient that has COVID.
Just like you’d be a patient with HiV.

I am hearing that children are surging into hospitals but that the main culprits aren't Covid but RSV.
By hearing, you mean reading on twitter?

I know this will be stunning news to you so let me explain the technology to you.

On social media you can follow people who say things such as, "My hospital is full of Covid patients!".

You can also follow people who link to news stories.

So whether I use Twitter or a feed reader, makes no difference.

I would associate hearing differenlty, but that makes sense. I tend to not put a whole lot of weight on social media with medical stuff because of social media and such atleast until I can ask around about it.

Crazy influx of "getting old" in the Springfield area.

I trust what someone I personally know who works at the hospital tells me over twitter for sure. I certainly trust what I can personally see happening here at work as well.

I'm not sure what's confusing about 4 kids had to be sent to Children's Mercy because of covid but he is going to do him.

Haven't really followed this thread or similar ones, but it's interesting to me that about 2/3 of France is opposed to the vaccines, but here you're treated like a bumbling know-nothing country bumpkin if you even have the slightest concern about it. Do we really think the average American is more sophisticated and knowledgeable than the average French person?

Looks like they were idiots before Covid...

And 12-20% are really fucking stupid.

Hospitalizations have really leveled out here in NW Missouri. Still running with a fairly high case count and positivity rate. The next week should really give us an idea of which direction we're truly headed.

In Johnson County the % of new people testing positive has plummented the past couple of days, which could also be an indicator that things are leveling or slowing down here as well.

Opposed or not, France has vaccinated a higher percentage of their population than the US has. 52.90% of the population is vaxxed in France.
