About to hit the 5000 post mark on the old thread, the first season 7 trailer today seems like the right time to start the final Game of Thones thread.
I'm going back to the original rules pre-2015. I don't think we need supervision or bannings. Just don't be a dick. Post anything you find online that hasn't aired yet inside of spoiler tags. That's pretty much it. I think we can all handle that...

A very interesting theory I saw on twitter....
The direwolf names may have been foreshadowing....
Bran names his wolf Summer
Sansa names hers lady
Arya names her nymeria, basically an explorer queen
Jon names his ghost... Which is fitting for his fate
Maybe it's what grrm had in mind all along. [Reply]
So, did Jon just admit to killing Dany? They were alone in the throne room, and all evidence of Dany left with Drogon. I mean, it would be a very Jon thing to do to just go tell someone he did it, but that doesn't really jive with the reasons he would have done it in the first place. [Reply]

I didn't find it all that far fetched Drogon may have decided the Iron Throne has lead his person to a bad death.
Made sense to me. Pretty well established that dragons have some type of innate understand and connection with at least Targaryen folks. Sure he could tell something was mentally off with Daenerys. Now, Drogon understanding the Iron Throne caused it.... Eh. [Reply]

All of the characters that were really invested in by the people watching didn't get nice endings or the endings their fans wanted.
If they gave the fans what they want, theyd have gotten crushed for it. Don't give the fans what they want... getting crushed for that too.
If you want to like the ending of a story... then write it yourself. [Reply]
