So there's an article on NFL network saying that Orlando Brown is expected to sign for 6 years $145 mil.
That comes to $24.16 mil/yr and makes him the highest paid offensive lineman in football. It also would give him the 19th highest salary per year in the NFL
How would you feel if that is the contract he ended up signing?
I'm fine with it. He is a top 5 LT and he's only 26 next season. A young great LT is a guy you can't let leave. [Reply]
Schefter just said the league views Brown as a RT not a LT
Apparently still has outrageous money demands too :-)
Adam Schefter just said on NFL Live that the holdup on former #Chiefs OT Orlando Brown Jr. signing with a new team is the fact that "the league" views him as a right tackle, but OBJ wants to get paid like a left tackle. #ChiefsKingdom

Trouble is, he didn't do it.
The Chiefs decided they'd rather pay a RT and convert him to LT than pay Brown, even under the tag for another year.
Yep, I was hoping he absolutely balled out because that would obviously mean we found a franchise LT. He thinks just because he put together a few good games to end the year it negates the fact he got his ass whooped most of the last two seasons.
Looks like the rest of the league is in agreement on this as well. He's not a LT, he needs to just realize it. [Reply]
Meh. It's what he deserves for hiring a douchebag noob agent that doesn't know what he's doing instead of an experienced one that could've tempered his expectations a bit. [Reply]

I get PTSD from stories about unreasonable clients. [Reply]
It will be hilarious if he ends up with less money than the Chiefs offered him. Pretty damning that Adam Schefter goes on TV and says every front office around the league believes Orlando should play RT instead of LT. Chiefs found a way to have success despite his limitations. [Reply]

Dipshit is going to get himself fired, cost Orlando money and be done in the business for good after outing himself as a complete schmuck.
Good job Agent Barney Fife.
I mean you had a chance to be the LT for the best organization in football for years to come, protecting the best QB of all time playing for a Hall of Fame head coach, and you threw it away over a couple million bucks. I very much believe the Chiefs probably offered him a nearly similar deal as Taylor ended up getting.

Taylor is way more athletic with higher upside as a potential LT. I assume Taylor is also way more willing to play RT if he struggles at the LT spot, whereas Orlando refuses to play RT. You gotta like the more flexible attitude of Taylor. Taylor is also 18 months younger, which is another positive attribute! [Reply]
